1st day in Berlin

Hello dear ones, Helena and I were recently in Berlin and were able to spend 3 great days here. We have already given you a few days ago an insight into our stay at the Hilton Hotel and today follows a small travel diary of our Berlin trip. We tried to use the time as good as possible to see and discover a lot in Berlin. And since we are sure that some tips for your next trip to Berlin are also included here is our Berlin Diary.

1st day in Berlin

Dinner at the Hilton

After our arrival in Berlin we made ourselves comfortable in our hotel room. Then we took a little walk around the Gendarmenmarkt, which is right next to the Hilton Hotel. At Christmas time, there is also a great Christmas market here, which is really worth a visit. After our walk, it was already time for dinner, which we were already looking forward to. For us it went to the restaurant Mark Brandenburg that is located in the Hilton Hotel. In addition to the delicious food, we also had the opportunity to participate in a beer tasting. A super great idea and highly recommended!

Festival of Lights

After dinner, another real highlight was waiting for us. We were lucky and were during the "Festival of Lights" in Berlin and were allowed to experience this festival live. Here in the evening the most beautiful buildings and sights of Berlin are illuminated in spectacular colors and images and it was super nice to experience Berlin from a completely different perspective.

2nd day in Berlin

Shopping on Friedrichstraße

What should not be missing on a trip to Berlin? An extensive shopping tour of course. Therefore, it went for us as the very first on the Friedrichstraße, which is probably one of Berlin's largest shopping streets. The Hilton is located just a few meters from Friedrichstraße which is super convenient. On Friedrichstraße you can find many chains like H&M, Zara & Co but also many designers and of course the famous Gallerie Lafayette. By the way, a visit to Berlin is also totally worthwhile for Christmas shopping, where else should you find if not in Berlin? By the way, the Hilton has put together a great selection with beautiful destinations for the Christmas season, where you are welcome to take a look.

Klunckerkranich flea market

After shopping on Friedrichstraße we went on to our next destination, the Klunckerkranich flea market. And let me say one thing in advance: I fell in love with this flea market from the first second. It is located on the rooftop of a shopping center in Neukölln and from up here you have a great view over Berlin. But also the location itself is really worth a visit, in addition to the flea market you can also eat delicious or drink something to cool music.

Chocolate Rasul Treatment

After our shopping tour a real highlight was waiting for us, which we were looking forward to the whole day. With the cold temperatures outside, a little relaxation came just right. We were allowed to explore the spa area of the Hilton, starting with a Chocolate Rasul treatment. Here, liquid chocolate is applied to the body and followed by a super pleasant steam bath. Afterwards, we also went to the sauna and pool, which is a real treat, especially with the cold temperatures outside.

The Bowl

For dinner we went to the restaurant "The Bowl", which we can only recommend to you. Here they serve super delicious bowls with great ingredients. Who is looking for a healthy and delicious meal in Berlin will find here in any case. By the way, the menu is completely vegan, sugar-free and gluten-free. We opted for the "California Bowl" with sweet potatoes, avocado, quinoa, carrots and spinach. What I would give to have a restaurant like this in Frankfurt. If you're ever in Berlin you absolutely have to come here!

3rd day in Berlin

Breakfast at the Hilton

New day and also our last day in Berlin. Also today the day started with a delicious breakfast at the Hilton Hotel, of course we could not miss it. I have by the way first sweet breakfast and then still savory, I can really never decide. How does it look like with you, do you prefer sweet or savory breakfast?

Hackescher Markt

Before we went back to Frankfurt around noon we wanted to use the last hours and went to Hackescher Markt. This is one of my favorite places in Berlin and in addition to cool stores, there are also super recommendable restaurants and cafes. Best you just convince yourself on the spot, you will not be disappointed.
