Two more months the Bauhaus celebrates its 100th birthday - the Hedwig Bollhagen Werkstätten contribute the "Bogler Lamp", the revised design of a pottery series from 1923.

Hedwig Bollhagen Werkstätten Keramik Bogler

The lamp is based on a design of a bottle by Theodor Bogler, which also gave rise to storage jars. Hedwig Bollhagen Workshops

Designer and craftsman Theodor Bogler created a bottle around 1923, taking into account the modular principle of Bauhaus founder Walter Gropius. The design of the "Bogler Lamp", which Hedwig Bollhagen Werkstätten is now reissuing, is also based on this principle, which provides for the multiple use of a basic shape. The handmade pendant lamp is made of ceramic; it differs from Bogler's bottle in one decisive detail: in order to achieve a better distribution of light within the body, the bottom of the bottle was omitted. The "Bogler Lamp" is on display at the HB Werkstätten in Oberkrämer/Marwitz until November 10 and will also be available online in the future for 128 euros.
